Docking Solutions [USB-C Dock / USB-C Adapter / Thunderbolt Dock] - Supported features by platform

ISSUE

Overview of supported features and required settings by platform, such as Network (PXE) Boot support, Wake On LAN compatibility and related BIOS settings for the below mentioned docks and adapters.

NOTES AND LIMITATIONS

PXE Boot using CSM boot mode is only intended for deployment purpose use.

Some features require dedicated BIOS settings. Be sure to change the BIOS settings to the necessary values, described in the comment section of each table below. Otherwise you might face issues when trying to use some of the features.

To support PXE boot feature or having LAN connectivity in Windows Pre-Boot environment on classified Secured Core PCs, a dedicated Intel LAN driver is might be required, which is supporting DMA Remapping function. For details, please refer to http://aps2.support.emea.dynabook.com/kb0/TSB12032Z0000R01.htm.

Portege X30T-E / WT30-E series are not supporting Thunderbolt / the Thunderbolt 3 dock.

Satellite Pro ET10-G tablet series is not supported and therefore PXE boot does not work, using one of the below mentioned docks- or USB Type-C adapters . There might be 3rd party docks- or USB Type-C adapters available, which can be used for PXE boot function in combination with the Satellite Pro ET10-G tablet series.
