Performing a Hard- or Forced Reset on dynabook Laptops [Power Button Reset Function]

ISSUE

In case a dynabook laptop might not boot at all, a hard- or forced reset can be performed.

RESOLUTION | Short

There is a reset function implemented which might resolve a no boot issue on your dynabook laptop.

NOTE:

A hard- or forced reset erases all information, which the PC loaded into the memory. This reset might regain functionality of the PC. Resetting your dynabook laptop forces the system to clear and reestablish the software connection between BIOS and the hardware layer.

Performing a hard or forced reset can potentially fix the following conditions:

Laptop does not boot up at all
Windows stops responding [freeze]
Laptop stops before Windows finished loading - no boot, blinking cursor etc.
Display is blank and stays blank but power LED's are on
The laptop does not return from sleep or suspend mode

How to perform a hard- or forced reset:

Please press the power button for at least 10-20 seconds. After the reset has been performed, please try to power on the unit and check, if the issue has been resolved or not.
