Sierra EM7305 LTE antenna symbol might be greyed out after updating to Windows 10 version 1803 (RS4) 

ISSUE

After updating Windows 10 to version 1803 (RS4) you may notice a greyed out LTE antenna symbol after resuming from standby / hibernation / shutdown / full shutdown mode, although a LTE connection is possible and the LTE module is working as expected.

There might be the following issue on devices equipped with a Sierra EM7305 LTE module:

Windows 10 has been updated to version 1803 (Redstone 4)
OS is resuming / device is powered on either from standby, hibernation, shutdown or full shutdown mode
LTE antenna symbol in the taskbar is greyed out, although a LTE connection is possible and the LTE module is working as expected (display only issue)
Following picture is showing the greyed out LTE antenna symbol in the taskbar (red box) and on the other hand, completed LTE connection when clicking on the antenna symbol and obtaining details about the connection:

Note that this issue does not appear in case a unit is equipped with Sierra Wireless EM7455 module or if Windows 10 has not been updated to version 1803 (RS4) yet.

There is no restriction of the functionality of the LTE module and nor any hardware issue exist (display only issue).

Please update Windows 10 to version 1809 (RS5) or later. In addition, we suggest to download and install the latest LTE module driver available via our driver download portal [ https://emea.dynabook.com/support/drivers/laptops/ ].
